The fish friendly water extraction project

Modern Fish-Friendly Screens: A Smarter Way to Protect Fish and Improve Water Management.

I’m currently working on a large project, Commissioned by Southern Queensland Landscapes in collaboration with state and federal governments. The project involves filming across South West Queensland. Deliverables include: short films and photography for web, print, and social media.

Media Training

Teaching a man how to fish, on Mardigan country at the historic fish traps.

Filmed on Mardigan land near Quilpie in Western Queensland, this project introduced Kevin Collins, a spokesman for the Mardigan people the makers of the fish traps we visited. Kevin is keen to learn video-making so he can share the stories of his community. The trip focused on giving him on-camera practice and an introduction to the film making process, as part of a larger film education initiative with Southern Queensland Landscapes.
The video on this page is just a snippet — a first step in a larger story we are developing.

Wandhala Drone Project

Mobile Phone Film Making.

A collaboration with Southern Queensland Landscapes and government, this project supports first nations communities in using drones to create employment and economic opportunities.
I documented the work across South West Queensland — from Toowoomba and Cherbourg to Goondiwindi and Charleville — Filming on mobile to keep the videos natural and the participants relaxed.
