I’m a boxing fan and so I was well aware of Australia’s most successful trainer Johnny Lewis. I trained at the Woolloomooloo PCYC where Johnny trained a group of professional boxers. The place looked great. I thought it would be great for a sports brand shoot with real boxers wearing the brand going about there craft. Johnny was great, I started to give him a run down of what i wanted to do and he just held his hand up to stop me and said: “if it’s good for you mate it’s all alright with me.” I shot it on a old Hasselblad medium format camera on Kodak TriX film and sold the story the “Sport & Style” a now defunct magazine the Sydney morning Herald ran for a while.
